Founded by Joe Palermo, a New York native who was raised in Minnesota, our organization is deeply rooted in a passion for outdoor adventure. Joe discovered the joys of hunting and fishing in the Midwest, experiences that shaped his lifelong commitment to sharing these traditions with others.
American Outdoor Experiences was born from the success of the Midwest Extreme Outdoors Mentoring Program, which identified a critical need: introducing inner-city children to fishing and archery—sports that many had never had the chance to experience. Recognizing this gap, we established American Outdoor Experiences to bring the thrill of these outdoor activities directly to communities through our mobile fishing pond and mobile archery range. Our mission is to ensure that people of all ages—children, women, men, and families alike—can discover the joy and excitement of fishing and archery in a fun, educational, and accessible environment.
Our Team
Our dedicated staff is the heart and soul of our mission. Led by Joe Palermo, our team includes passionate individuals like Amy Palermo, Randy Rosario, Kevin Bauer and many more, all committed to mentoring, teaching, and instilling a love for the outdoors in the next generation.
What We Do
Through partnerships with schools, 4-H clubs, scouting organizations, and various community events, we set up hands-on fishing and archery experiences at trade shows, expos, fairs, and outdoor events. These mobile setups provide a unique opportunity for participants to develop confidence, learn valuable skills, and foster a lifelong appreciation for nature.
